Webinar: ''How to build sustainability and prosperity in fruits and vegetables food systems'' on 2 December 2021
02/12/2021 | 14:00 –15:30 CET
Organic and agroecological fruits and vegetable growers provide excellent examples of how is possible to produce in a sustainable way, protecting the environment, growing biodiversity, preserving the soil and mitigating and adapting to climate change. Organic and agroecological producers build sustainable and inclusive value chains that contribute to a better quality of life for family farmers and their communities by generating income, creating livelihoods, improving food security and nutrition and enhancing resilience through sustainably managed local resources and increased agrobiodiversity.
The webinar ''How to build sustainability and prosperity in fruits and vegetables food systems'' will be held on 2 December 2021 at 14:00 - 15:30 CET and will showcase organic and agroecological successful growers’ experiences, from different continents. Their stories could be an inspiration for farmers organizations, civil society and UN agencies on how is possible to build sustainability and prosperity in the food systems, from farm to table, valuing the research experience carried out or led by farmers and their organisations.
Interpretation will be available in French and Spanish.
