AquaCrop

Software

AquaCrop has been developed in three different formats to meet users' requirements:

  • Standard AquaCrop programme with users' interface and database.
  • The AquaCrop stand-alone programme: this allows to run several predefined "projects" and to store results in output files for individual locations without using a Graphical User Interface (GUI). It can be used in applications where iterative or multiple parallel runs are required. A "project" is a text file which can be composed by the standard AquaCrop programme or created by the user by respecting the structure of the project text file.
  • AquaCrop-Github: it has been designed to facilitate the use of the AquaCrop model when a high number of simulations is needed, simplifying the task of generating input and projects files and the management of output files.
  • AquaCrop Plotter: it is an application that allows to streamline the analysis and visualization of data generated by AquaCrop simulations. It has been developed by the Office of Climate Change Biodiversity and Environment and the Land and Water Division of FAO.
