FAO in Cambodia

Our Team

There are currently about 60 people working for FAO in Cambodia. Most of them are located in the capital, Phnom Penh, of whom about 25 in the Representation. Cambodia joined FAO in 1950 but collaboration was limited to humanitarian assistance during the years of the Khmer Rouge and subsequent period of civil strife. The Representation was re-established in 1992 after the war and is located in a three-story villa located in the city center, close to the offices of most of the sister UN agencies and to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and its departments, which is convenient to avoid the increasingly chaotic Phnom Penh traffic.
