Enhancing knowledge sharing in support of agricultural innovation system: "Date Palm Digital Research and Innovation Platform"

FAO's Office of Innovation and the Association of Agricultural Research Institutions in the Near East and North Africa (AARINENA) are jointly presenting a webinar on: "Enhancing Knowledge Sharing in Support of Agricultural Innovation System: Date Palm Digital Research and Innovation Platform." that will take place on 12 June 2023 at:

  • Jordan Time: 14:00 – 15:30
  • CEST, Rome Time: 13:00 – 14:30

The webinar aims to promote the recently established date palm research and innovation platform in the NENA region. Highlighting the user-friendly mobile application available for both Android and iOS devices, known as the "Date Palm Application." This mobile app reflects the functionality, features, integration, and modifications of the date palm innovation platform.
During the event, the speaker will discuss the platform's approaches, its context-specific benefits, and provide a step-by-step guide on registration, navigation, and real-time interaction with other stakeholders.

Furthermore, the webinar will explore how the mobile app can facilitate seamless communication and collaboration among date palm industry stakeholders. The webinar is designed for development practitioners in the date palm industry, public and private research institutions, extension and education institutions, government officials, international organizations, producers' organizations, cooperatives, and civil society.
