The Haller Farmers App - improving the lives of millions of smallholder farmers

The Haller Foundation is a UK based charity that was set up in order to educate rural farmers in East Africa on sustainable pioneering farming techniques to maximise their food production and to help build self-sustaining communities. Since our launch back in 2004, we have worked with over 25,000 people from 57 different communities in Kenya, helping them to reach a point of self sufficiency.

In 2014, we launched the Haller Farmers web app which was designed to provide rural farming communities with affordable and environmentally friendly farming techniques. With 30,000 existing users on the app and an ever-increasing smartphone penetration across Africa, we decided that it was time to evolve the original app.
