Living with wildlife in Botswana; Godlop's story #SWMProgramme

This video gives an insight into the SWM Programme work with ranchers and community scouts in the Habu Community Conservancy, which is located in the communal livestock grazing areas of western Ngamiland, Botswana. The video introduces Godlop, a community scout benefitting from the SWM Community Conservancy Project, which is supporting his community by promoting co-existence between livestock and wildlife. The SWM Programme is the first international initiative to tackle the wild meat challenge by addressing both wildlife conservation and food security. It is an initiative from the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), funded by the European Union with co-funding from the French Facility for Global Environment (FFEM) and the French Development Agency (AFD). It is implemented through a consortium partnership, which includes the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) and the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD).
