South Africa’s Food Safety Summit 2022 was launched on the same day as the launch of World Food Safety Day, with a programme tailored to requests from former attendees and with the message that “‘Local is lekker*’ but we are part of the global village, so we will hear from our international colleagues too!”

 The virtual event will take place on 7 and 8 June and will include several panel discussions with experts in their fields.

 According to the organizers, Anelich Consulting and Food Focus, the programme will address issues such as food safety, water safety, sustainability, food fraud, food defence, food legislation, food safety culture and others.
