As of November 2023, the IFADTERM collection has migrated to the United Nations Terminology Database (UNTERM). With immediate effect, the collection is therefore no longer maintained in the FAO Term Portal and is in the process of being fully removed.

We are pleased to announce that a User's Manual for the FAO Term Portal is now available. You can retrieve the English version from the Help tab or click here.    

This thematic collection contains the FAO Structure and the FAO staff titles in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish (some records also contain Italian), plus the iRecruitment terms used in the Vacancy announcements issued by FAO. For reference purposes, the database presents also obsolete titles of the FAO Structure.  ...

A multilingual listing of relevant terms and definitions associated with the phytosanitary systems worldwide has been developed to provide a harmonized internationally agreed vocabulary on implementation of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) and International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs).
