systematic classification and exploration of the marginal and degraded lands for their efficient management in producing various value-added bioproducts including biomass and bioenergy, regaining ecosystem services and attaining multiple UN-SDGs for sustainable future. I have screened various multipurpose plant species for this purpose and developed a novel polyculture zonation technique. I have suggested the exploration and utilisation of indigenous, fast-growing, multipurpose, climate-adaptive plant species for the restoration of degraded lands. I am peculiarly interested in the areas of soil quality indexing, restoration ecology, emergy-based product sustainability assessment for policy outline.
