The Plenary Meeting of the Group of 77 & China - Rome Chapter, took place at FAO, Rome, on 3 April 2024, in a hybrid format. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Khalid Mehboob, Alternate Permanent Representative of Pakistan to FAO, IFAD and WFP, and covered a wide range of topics, in particular sustainable livestock and One Health.

FAO Deputy Director-General, Ms. Maria Helena Semedo, and NSA Director, Mr. Thanawat Tiensin, attended and provided a briefing to members on matters concerning Animal Production and Health.

The meeting reinforced the collective commitment to addressing key issues on food security and agriculture development within the Group of 77 & China - Rome Chapter.
