Its objectives were to: (i) discuss the significance of post-harvest losses (PHLs) of grains in Africa; (ii) discuss best practices, ongoing activities and institutional arrangements to reduce PHLs of grains; (iii) identify future interventions and define the way forward for future collaboration. The meeting was attended by technical staff from FAO, the World Bank, WFP, IFAD, UNIDO, AfDB, the European Commission and the Natural Resources Institute (NRI) of the UK.
