International Mountain Day Celebration
Giripremi and various associated organizations actively participated in the celebration of International Mountain Day during 9-11 Dec 2022.
1. Lingana Ascent
Under the guidance of Giripremi's Everester Krishna Dhokle fifteen members successfully climbed Lingana pinnacle in an alpine style. Mahesh Kharade, Raviraj Deshpande, Pratik Bajare, Abhijeet Karwande, Anil Bheske, Dr. Pramod Patil, Sameer Deore, VK Shravan Kumar, Dr. Guruprasad Kulkarni, Prashant Patil, Omkar Karanjule, Dattarray Chaudhari, Shivaji Shinde, and Mahesh Borate were in the team. All are the gradutes of GGIM's Diploma in Mountaineering & Allied Sports.

2. Bhamburda Navari Ascent
Team Giripremi climbed successfully Navari Pinnacle of Bhamburda region near Ghangad.
Padmaja Dhanavi made a maiden summit to the top while she was belayed by Ketaki Pathak. Unfortunately due to rotten rock conditions and continuous rockfalls, others could not reach the summit. But everyone played a crucial role in supporting the duo to make it a success. Ketki Sahasrabuddhe, Tanvi Chavhan, Saee Ravindra, Akhil Katkar, Piyush Sandhikar supported the team well.Samiran Kolhe, Pawan Hadole, Vivek Shivade, assisted the team from safety aspects.
3. Tamhini to Varandha Trek
Dr. Sumit Mandale, Dr. Avinash Kandekar, Dr. Rahul Warange, Shashikant Soman, Bhushan Shet, Aishwarya Ghare, Chinmay Thakurdesai, Lokesh Shinde successfully completed one of the challenging treks of Sahaydri – Tamhini to Varandha Ghat. 45 km gruesome hike was completed within just 14 hrs. Along with Giripremi, Sahyadri Mitra Mahad, Raigad and Pune District Mountaineering Associations were actively invovled in this unique project.
4. Plus Valley Climbing
Four climbers of Giripremi- Vivek Shivade, Pawan Hadole, Abhay Khedkar, Akhil Katkar climbed several sport routes in Plus valley in Tamhini region.
5. Sinhagad Rajgad Torna Trek
Anand and Amol Palsodkar , Sachin Gadgil and Amit Joshi participated in a famous SRT (Sinhagad Rajgad Torna Trek) to celebrate the occasion of International Mountain Day.
6. Sinhagad Hike
Senior club members Anjali Katre and Amrut Karvekar trekked to Sinhagad to celebrate the occasion ans promote awareness of saving and conserving the mountains.
7. Mountain Pooja Ceremony
Club members Suyash Mokashi and Dinesh Mhalshe took an initiative to worship mointains by performing a pooja ceremony at FC rock quarry, the place where generations of Pune mointaineers have been trainned.
Thus, across all corners of Maharashtra, Giripremi members actively participated in various programmes and paid their respects to the mountains.
