The Ministry of Environment and FAO in Sri Lanka collaborated to commemorate International Mountain Day with an event showcasing the untapped potential of Sri Lanka's mountains. Activities include a hiking tour of Manawa Mountain in the Anuradhapura Manawa Forest Reserve, a workshop on mountain tourism, and discussions on the biological and archaeological significance of Manawa Mountain. The program also involves planting native species and removing invasive plants, specifically Panicum maximum.
