Kathmandu - Dr Somsak Pipoppinyo, FAO Representative in Nepal paid a courtesy call on Hon Gari Shankar Choudhary, Minister for Agricultural Development in Kathmandu on Wednesday. Nov 16, 2016.

Dr Pipoppinyo was accompanied by Juan Carlos García Cebolla, Right to Food Team Leader at FAO Headquarters in Rome.
During the meeting, Dr Pipoppinyo briefed the Minister Choudhary on the FAO’s ongoing projects in Nepal.

Minister Choudhary assured that the Govrnment of Nepal would continue welcome the FAO’s initiatives in Nepal. Further reiterating the government’s commitment on the Zero Hunger Challenge Initiatives, Minister Chaudhry said that Nepal nobody in Nepal would remain hungry after full implementation of Zero Hunger Challenge National Action Plan 2016-2025.

Also present in the meeting was Dr Suroj Pokharel, Joint Secretary at Ministry of Agricultural Development.
