Name of the institution: Wageningen University and Research
Description: Having a long history of partnership, a new Memorandum of Agreement was signed in 2021 to revitalize the partnership for more cohesive and targeted cooperation to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Agenda. The newly strengthened partnership will focus on developing capacities, facilitating knowledge exchanges, and providing resources to advance the Four Betters – Better Production, Better Nutrition, Better Environment, Better Life, by harnessing science-based evidence. Under the new framework agreement, eight technical areas of cooperation have been established: improved agrifood economics; sustainable animal production and health; impacts of climate change, biodiversity, and environment; sustainable fisheries and aquaculture; improved food security and nutrition; strengthened agrifood systems and food safety; sustainable forestry; and partnership enhancement.

Description: FAO and the World Maritime University began their partnership in 2018 with a common objective to promote sustainable and productive oceans. The cooperation mobilizes expertise to develop policies and frameworks on illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing, and contributes to post-graduate educational programmes.
