The FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia is organizing "Eastern European and Central Asian Agricultural and Rural Development Policy Forum" which will take place in Ankara, Turkey from 26 - 29 October 2009. The goal of this forum for Eastern European and Central Asian countries is to stimulate discussion on issues of common interest to agricultural policy makers.

The target groups will be policy makers, eminent researchers and analysts, representatives of the private sector, and other invited stakeholders. In addition to guests from Central Asian countries, FAO will invite participants from Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Poland and Ukraine (2 persons from each country), to share the state of art of bioenergy production in their country as tool of farm income diversification.
