Preserved vegetables: the ultimate solution to food waste?

PROFEL, the European Association of Fruit and Vegetable Processors, is organising its 9th Conference for the canned and frozen vegetable sector - taking place on the afternoon of Thursday 23 April 2015 at 'The Hotel' in Brussels.

The half-day event will tackle questions such as food waste challenges at global level, the situation in the European Union and the role that the processed vegetables sector plays in avoiding and reducing food waste.

The conference will close with a panel discussion, opportunity for Q&As and a networking cocktail. Anthony Bennett, Agro Food Industries Group Leader, FAO, will present the ”FAO Global Initiative on Food Loss and Waste” during the morning session entitled "Food security in the EU through better management of our food resources".
