Italy's research institution CREA offers a field visit to its experimental station to the participants of the Innovation Symposium on Saturday 24 November
The Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA), in collaboration with the Italian Permanent Representation of the International Organizations in Rome (ONU ROMA), offers a field visit on Saturday 24 November to its experimental station in Monterotondo – Tor Mancina (Rome).
Participants will have the opportunity to visit the research center for zootechnics and aquaculture, as well as the engineering and agro-food processing centers. They would learn from different research projects dealing with agricultural innovation for family farmers, and discuss with Italian researchers opportunities for new partnerships in support of specific innovation projects and programmes.
This activity is framed in the context of the activities planned under the Memorandum of Understanding, signed by the main four Italian Research Institutions (CREA, CNR, ENEA, ISPRA), and FAO in July 2018.
CREA is Italy’s largest institution focused on advanced research in agronomy, zootechnics, agroindustry, food, fishery, forestry, biotechnology and genetics and environmental aspects of agriculture with 2,000 employees, of which 1,000 are researchers.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. If you are interested to participate, please express your interest by contacting Ms. Anna Benedetti at: [email protected]
