Step it Up with Rural Women: Sipiwe’s Story

09/12/2016

El Nino has taken a heavy toll on people like Sipiwe Moyo, who lives with HIV in rural Zimbabwe. A subsistence farmer, she became unable to feed herself earlier this year, as El Nino destroyed her crops and livelihood. Hunger was a daily reality. To make matter worse, she could not take her HIV drugs on an empty stomach. Now, thanks to food and cash assistance from WFP and partners, she is again able to benefit from her treatment and look forward to a productive life.
