Extension of the call for proposals to May 09, 2021 at 23:59 GMT

The deadline for the call for proposals has been extended to May 09, 2021 at 23: 59 GMT to provide more clarifications particularly on the mandatory minimum requirements under Section IV-Evaluation. Kindly read the Updated invitation package and updated proposal template.  All the clarifications are indicated in RED.  Carefully review your proposals to make sure they address and comply with all the requirements. These requirements are very important, as they represent the first step of the screening process. No proposal will be considered for further evaluation if it does not meet all of them. 

We would like to draw your particular attention to requirements 1. and 4. under section: IV: Evaluation. They seem to have been overlooked in many proposals: 

1.       Explicit written acceptance of the terms and conditions applicable to FAO Letters of Agreement as laid out in the LoA template in Annex I.

This requirement has been added to the signature page (Page 10 in the invitation package in the English version) where the applicant needs to certify that the information provided is correct.  By signing the page, the applicant provides at the same time his/her written acceptance of these terms and conditions.

 4.     Presentation of the community action plan/process. 

The applicants shall clearly present/describe the community plan/process, in which their proposal is integrated and will contribute to. It is important to note that the main purpose of the call is to support the implementation/scaling up of an existing community plan/ process. 

Applicants who have already submitted proposals will have the opportunity to review them, ensure they comply with all requirements, and they will need to either confirm their application or resubmit an updated version if necessary.

 Kindly be reminded that:

• The extension of this call is open to all (including new applicants) international or national non-governmental organizations (NGOs), non-profit groups/associations/cooperatives, or similar entities legally constituted and recognized in at least one of the 15 ECOWAS member countries.
