15 May 2024, Accra - The Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Ghana, H.E. A. M. Youseef, visited the FAO Regional Office for Africa today, engaging in a bilateral meeting with Abebe Haile-Gabriel, the FAO Assistant Director-General and Regional Representative for Africa, and David Phiri, Special Advisor to the FAO Assistant Director-General.

Their discussions focused on the operationalization of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for South-South and Triangular Cooperation between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD), signed earlier this year in January.

The MOU aims to establish a framework for cooperation between FAO and EAPD, facilitating the exchange and transfer of knowledge within the agriculture sector between Egypt and other African countries.
