Center for International Forestry Research and World Agroforestry (CIFOR-ICRAF)

The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and the International Centre for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF)—also known by the brand name World Agroforestry—merged as CIFOR-ICRAF in 2019 as the world’s leader on harnessing the power of trees, forests, and agroforestry landscapes to address the most pressing global challenges of our time – biodiversity, climate, and food security.
Currently, CIFOR-ICRAF manage almost 200 active projects in more than 60 countries, supported by more than 150 funding partners, and has completed over 2200 completed projects across 92 nations.
With Headquarters in Bogor, Indonesia, and Nairobi, Kenya, CIFOR-ICRAF maintains offices in 27 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, with more than 800 staff members, of which around 40% are women.
