The International System for Agricultural Science and Technology (AGRIS), managed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), welcomes the Adam Mickiewicz University (UAM) from Poland as a new data provider. With roots tracing back to the 16th century and official re-establishment in 1919, UAM is a prestigious institution with a rich academic heritage.

UAM contributes over 1,300 records to AGRIS, spanning diverse themes including air pollution and particulate matter studies, botanical and ecological research, soil science, plant community dynamics, climate impact on agriculture, virtual tour technologies, and advanced geomatics using UAVs and GNSS.

Recent studies focus on the synoptic conditions affecting PM10 concentrations in Poznań, temporal changes in North African flora, and the impact of atmospheric circulation on air quality in Poland, demonstrating UAM’s broad environmental and agricultural expertise.

By joining AGRIS, Adam Mickiewicz University enriches the global agricultural knowledge base, fostering scientific exchange and sustainable development.
