Virtual workshop: ''Agroecology and Safe Food System Transitions for green, resilient and inclusive recovery in the Southeast Asian Nations'' on 8 and 9 November 2021

The virtual workshop on ''Agroecology and safe food system transitions for green, inclusive and resilient COVID-19 recovery in the Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN)'', was organized through the project ''Agroecology and Safe Food System Transition'' (ASSET) by the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), FAO, the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD), GRET and other ASSET project partners.

The one and a half-day multi-stakeholder regional workshop aimed at sharing perspectives on the requirements for transition to agroecology and safe food systems, with a view to supporting the current initiative to produce ASEAN guidelines on sustainable agriculture, as provided under the ASEAN Comprehensive Recovery Framework and Implementation Plan and in support of the ASEAN Vision and Strategic Plan. It also fed into the Lao PDR-facilitated Initiative on Agroecology for the ASEAN (LICA) process and milestones.

The workshop was attended by over 100 Government officials from ASEAN member states.

Recordings for the meeting, presentations and other workshop information have been shared here.
