The Agroecology Conference & Exhibition on Community Seed Systems 2024 (AECoSS24),set to take place on April 24-25 in Selangor Malaysia, brings together communities, practitioners, farmers, gardeners, and champions of seed saving, sharing and exchanging, in safeguarding traditional knowledge and practices on ecological agrobiodiversity.

AECoSS24 integrates the importance of agroecology elements in advancing just, resilient, and sustainable food systems that are built from acommunity-based approach, where farmer seed systems are the foundation. Paper presentations and posters will highlight the agroecological merits of CoSS through science, practice, and social movement.

AECoSS24 spotlights the important roles of seed guardians, particularly guardians of heirloom varieties, which are intricately woven into traditional and cultural practices of farming and indigenous communities.
