The month of agroecological transition: producing and eating better
From the 1st of September until the 1st of October, 2017, the agroecological transition will be highlighted through more than 40 events organized with the collaboration of numerous partners.
Agroecological produciton aims at preserving natural resources and avoiding the use of agrochemicals. Agroecology is about the reconciliation of economic viability, environmental respect and social justice. In other words, to produce better via sustainable practices, to eat better.
The objectives of the Transition month are:
- To present local and healthy food to a large amount of people
- To support the local economy as well as agricultural jobs
- To preserve the landscape heritage and natural resources
- To limit greenhouse gas emissions and to adapt to climate change
- To promote social cohesion by strenghtening the link between nature, cities and the countryside
