Alpaca Fiesta & Peru Moda Deco 2024

The International Alpaca Association (IAA) in alliance with PROMPERU-MINCETUR will carry out the eighth edition of ALPACA FIESTA, the most important alpaca event worldwide, which aims to disseminate and promote the alpaca fiber in the global textile market and brings together breeders, companies and institutions linked to the world of alpaca and South American camelids in a festive and highly competitive environment, and that this time will be held from October 21st to 26th in the city of Arequipa (Peru), home of the Alpaca Textile Cluster. 

In addition, Alpaca Fiesta 2024 will be held in conjunction with PERU MODA DECO one of the main events of the clothing, gift, and decoration industry in Peru, which for the first time will be held in the city of Arequipa. 

The event will include various activities divided into 5 components: 

(i) Livestock Component: Vicuña Chaccu, National Alpaca and Llama Competitions, South American Camelid Exhibition, Livestock Activities and Workshops;

(ii) Commercial Component: International and National Business Roundtable – Foreign Buyers and Peruvian Exhibitors, Textile Fair and Factory Visits;

(iii) Academic Component: Innovation and Sustainability Forum;

(iv) Fashion Component: Fashion Shows in various categories; and

(v) Cultural Component: Mystical Activities and Revaluation of techniques and Andean ancestral culture.
