Bilateral meeting with the Minister for Agriculture of Azerbaijan – H.E. Majnun Mammadov

Rome - The FAO Director-General, QU Dongyu, and Minister for Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Majnun Mammadov, met to ensure the successful collaboration between FAO and Azerbaijan.

The Minister congratulated the Director-General on his successful re-elections, noting it reflected support for the work undertaken by the Director-General during his first mandate. The Director-General thanked the Minister for his support and expressed appreciation for Government’s strong commitment to FAO’s work. He informed the Minister that the newly appointed FAO Representative would shortly be arriving in the country.

The Minister briefed the Director-General on Azerbaijan’s successful implementation of projects on agrifood systems transformation. The pair agreed they looked forward to ongoing and strengthened collaboration within the framework of the FAO-Azerbaijan Partnership Programme.
