العمل الاستباقي
تعمل منظمة الأغذية والزراعة على إيجاد طريقة أسرع وأكثر فعالية لنظام للمساعدات الإنسانية من خلال التحول من الاستجابة للكوارث إلى العمل الاستباقي.
يغيّر العمل الاستباقي الطريقة التي ندير بها الكوارث. ويعني التصرف قبل وقوع الأزمات حماية حياة الناس وسبل عيشهم مع فوائد تصل إلى المستقبل البعيد.
يمكن التنبؤ بالكوارث. وبفضل التقدم التكنولوجي، أصبحت معلومات الإنذار المبكر أكثر دقة ومتاحة بسهولة أكثر من أي وقت مضى. ويستخدم نهج العمل الاستباقي في المنظمة تحليل المخاطر والتنبؤات لتحريك التدخلات قبل أن تتفاقم الأزمة إلى حالة طوارئ إنسانية. وهذا أمر بالغ الأهمية بشكل خاص في قطاع الزراعة. ويمكن أن يؤدي التنبّه إلى إشارات الإنذار المبكر في حالة صغار المزارعين إلى إحداث فارق بين الصدمة والأزمة.
