Tackling climate change with the EBRD’s FINTECC programme

18/12/2017

A cold storage system in a Moroccan confectionary plant, a roof top photovoltaic installation, a high efficiency heat recovery system installed by a leading poultry producer in Jordan and a light glass containers production line by Moldova’s largest glass bottle producer – what are these new and energy saving technologies all about?

Each one is a climate technology supported by the Finance and Technology Transfer Centre for Climate Change (FINTECC), a programme led by EBRD and supported by GEF and the EU to help countries to create sustainable and competitive economies by saving energy, protecting water resources and using materials more efficiently to increase the resilience of countries’ and businesses to climate change.

This short video was recently produced by EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) giving a brief yet clear overview of the way in which FINTECC supports countries.
