Marrying technical progress and knowledge integration for better One Health outcomes in agrifood systems

Venue: Sheikh Zayed Center, FAO, Rome, Italy

Hybrid Event, 20/10/2022

Background

This session is directed at people who are interested in seeing how One Health science and innovation can make a difference in the agrifood system transformation. Participants will be able to explore how we can integrate technical progress and, knowledge sharing through in-depth discussions with the One Health experts invited for the occasion.

Objectives

  • To highlight the opportunities that arise for better "One Health" outcomes from latest developments in whole genome sequencing and genomics
  • To showcase how innovations in this area are changing access to genomic based information and solutions and discuss how national policies are important to capture the benefits of innovation.

Key-note speaker

Jean-Claude Manuguerra, Research Director, Environment and infectious risks, Institut Pasteur

Target audience
