“Eco Mioriţa” Association – sheep’s milk and ecologically certified lambs Florin Dragomir started working in agriculture in 1991, when he bought the first hundred sheep, and with the money obtained from raising them he bought land in Vurpăr, Sibiu County, his wife’s native locality. The commune of Vurpăr is located 25 km from the city of Sibiu, on the Valley of Vurpăr River, a tributary of Hârtibaci River, in a hillside area, with many pastures and a tradition in sheep rearing. The population of Vurpăr is 2,700 people. Florin Dragomit graduated from the “Hermann Oberth” Faculty of Engineering in Sibiu, MCT specialisation. For a while he worked both as a farmer and as an employee at the company Balanţa Sibiu, which he left in 1994, when it was restructured.
