How Organic Farming Help to Break the Cycle ⭕ of Chemicals & Debt

Organic farming helped Mr. Keo Nov (PGS-organic farmer in the Kandal Province of Cambodia 🇰🇭) to break the vicious cycle of chemicals and debt. https://www.organicwithoutboundaries.... Together with his wife, they farm approximately 1,200 square meters of land, nearly a third of an acre. They have been managing their farm organically for about 5 years, growing over 20 kinds of vegetables 🍆🥒🌶🥕which they eat and sell. Their four children now all attend school. “We had a lot of issues with chemical farming. We did not feel very comfortable spraying the food we wanted to eat with so many harmful substances. Now, the bad health effects have disappeared since we stopped using chemicals.” - Mr. Keo Nov This story is based on the result achieved through a Food and Agriculture Organisation of United Nations (FAO) pilot project Technical Cooperation Programme (TCP/RAS/3510) “Small-Scale Farmer Inclusion in Organic Agriculture Development through Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS)” and the joint collaboration with IFOAM – Organics International, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Earth Net Foundation (ENF) and grassroots organizations. 🎥 This video was produced in cooperation between FAO and IFOAM – Organics International under the FAO TCP.
