Take part in the 6th edition of the International Fishing Industry Safety & Health Conference (IFISH-6)
The IFISH6 Planning Committee is pleased to announce that registration for the conference is now open.
IFISH is the only international gathering of fishing industry safety and health researchers, industry workers and experts, ergonomists, governmental and regulatory representatives, and other professionals. IFISH-6 will offer opportunities for individuals and organizations to showcase their research, disseminate their safety innovations and solutions, and develop new and effective partnerships. A special focus of IFISH6 will be on the health and safety of fishers and fisheries workers, including women, workers from developing countries, and in particular small-scale fishers from Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, and Africa.
The IFISH6 conference will be hosted at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Rome, Italy, from January 8 to 12 2024.
Pre-registration will be open from the 1st of October 2023. FAO will send a confirmation of registration to successful participants. Conference attendance will be entirely in person.
There are no registration fees to participate in the conference; however successful participants will be requested to cover for their own travel expenses.
Seeking travel support?
FAO will support travels for a select number of participants from developing countries. If you meet this regional qualification and need travel support to attend, please indicate this in the pre-registration form.
