لتوجيه المسار نحو المساواة بين الجنسين وتمكين النساء والفتيات، قررت لجنة الأمن الغذائي العالمي في دورتها السادسة والأربعين التي انعقدت في أكتوبر/تشرين الأول 2019 وضع خطوط توجيهية طوعية بشأن المساواة بين الجنسين وتمكين النساء والفتيات في سياق الأمن الغذائي والتغذية. تدعو لجنة الأمن الغذائي العالمي الآن جميع الجهات الفاعلة المشاركة في معالجة انعدام الأمن الغذائي وسوء التغذية إلى تقديم ملاحظات وتعقيبات حول المسودة صفر للخطوط التوجيهية.
