On 22 September 2022, FAO, in collaboration with the World Agroforestry Organization (ICARAF) and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), consulted to identify priority indicators that can be monitored using geospatial technologies for Nature-Based Solutions. During this virtual consultation, a technical discussion focused on an overview of datasets and indicators. With a particular interest in piloting Nature-Based Solutions indicators in Thanh Chuong and Con Cuong districts in Vietnam, technical issues to monitor indicators, for example for rice-fish culture,  the simultaneous or alternate production of fish in a rice field, land restoration through acacia plantations and many others. As technical support to the Nature-Based Solutions in Vietnam, FAO has been producing datasets on land cover, land use, flood risk assessment, forest fragmentation, soil properties and many others.
