The field data collection approach for two projects (Monitoring, evaluation and rationalization of water use for Agriculture Sector in Libya [OSROLIB002ITA] and Evaluation of irrigation infrastructure, crop mapping and estimation of agricultural water use in Libya [OSROLIB100AFB] was tested in Sebha, Libya on October 24-26. During the field visit, technical officers from FAO and the Libya Remote Sensing Centre have been testing the field data collection approach to assess irrigation infrastructure and assess water and crop productivity. Feedbacks from the field experience will contribute to improve the methodological approach before its finalization and the assessment for the region of Fezzan.
