National fisheries closures
This database contains information on the areas that are closed to all or to some fishing activities, within the national waters of Mediterranean and Black Sea countries. These closures may be permanent or temporal and can serve several purposes. The information contained in this database is continuously updated as national legislations change and new areas are established.
NB: All the areas registered in the database on national fisheries closures are located outside marine protected areas.
This database has been prepared in collaboration with MedPAN and the European Topic Centre on Spatial Analysis and Synthesis of the University of Malaga (ETC-UMA)
