As of 2006, Food Supply Situation and Crop Prospects in sub-Saharan Africa (Africa Report) and Foodcrops and Shortages were consolidated into a new publication, Crop Prospects and Food Situation, which is issued in three languages in electronic format, four times per year. To allow for more frequent updates, the country-by-country assessments of food security previously presented in Foodcrops and Shortages can now be found in the GIEWS Country Briefs, accessible through the GIEWS web site. The country-specific statistics on cereal supply and demand, previously included in Food Supply Situation and Crop Prospects in sub-Saharan Africa, are also available on the statistical report.
