Global Soil Partnership

Pacific Soil Partnership

The Pacific Soil Partnership (PaSP) was established in October 2014 and it is hosted by the Pacific Community (SPC). Acknowledging that region's soils are diverse and vulnerable, joint activities based on resource and information sharing are key to increase local food production and food quality, achieve climate change mitigation and adaptation, control land degradation and improve environmental management. In this framework, national needs and priorities are translated into regional actions through the PaSP implementation plan, which is under development and will be revised at the yearly PaSP plenary meetings.
