Summary: This presentation will focus on a new outlook on the use of soil spectral libraries 

Biography: Leo Ramirez-Lopez is head of the Data Science department at BUCHI Labortechnik AG in Switzerland. Over the past 15 years he has conducted research on infrared spectroscopy in Colombia, Brazil, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. He is devoted to share his developments in this field through open source software. In this regard he has developed two powerful R packages widely used in soil spectroscopy: prospectr and resemble. His main research motivation is to bring soil spectroscopy to a fully operational level.
