Country introduction:
Our country does not support the use of recombinant- DNA plants. We do not have any protocols in place to identify genetically modified plants, although we have an understanding of how it works. The Ministry is not collecting any information on r-DNA plants, since we are taking the assumption there are none in the country.

My country is in the process in developing a regulatory framework that requires the competent authority to conduct safety assessment of GM food.
