This episode is a part of ITU's webinar series on Digital transformation. The episode will be co-organized by International Telecommunication Union (ITU) together with Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
With the advent of the fourth industrial revolution, emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are being embraced across sectors to enhance operations. Within the agricultural domain, the potential of these technologies is being further examined as a means to drive digital transformation for ensuring food security, and improving the overall agricultural production processes for boosting yield as well as distribution across the value chain.
This Webinar will explore the concept of food security in the context of digital agriculture and the role of AI and IoT in delivering interventions for the optimization of agricultural production processes.
Target Audience
Participation is open to the ITU Member States, Sector Members, Associates, ITU Academia, and to any individual from a country that is a member of the ITU and who wishes to contribute to the work. This includes individuals who are also members of international, regional and national organizations. Participation to the webinar is free of charge.
