Building and Sustaining a Learning Culture
SLAM meeting: Building and Sustaining a Learning Culture | 10th October 2023
Join the second Strategic Learning & Adaptive Management (SLAM) meeting focused on building and sustaining a learning culture.
A learning culture is an environment in a project or organization where individuals and teams are supported in being able to continuously learn and improve their work without the fear of repercussions if results and outcomes are not achieved as expected. A strong learning culture facilitates the process of adaptive management and contributes to improved programming. When project management puts in place processes and tools for learning while also fostering a psychologically safe work environment, staff are able to explore their curiosity, ask questions, and share experiences that inform decision-making for adaptive management.
In this session, explore the process of establishing a learning culture in a project or organization and discuss approaches and tools used by three panelists working in food security programming.
French interpretation will be offered.
- Florence Randari, Strategic Learning Lead AM/CLA, Apolou (Mercy Corps)
- Cara M. Raboanarielina, PhD, Strategic Learning Lead, Maharo Resilience Food Security Activity (RFSA), Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Madagascar
