WaPOR, remote sensing for water productivity

WaPOR at the second Baghdad International Water Conference on March 5

The city of Baghdad, capital of Iraq, a WaPOR 2 partner country, will host stakeholders of the water community from all over the world, and particularly from the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) in the second edition of its International Water Conference between the 5th and the 7th of March. 

After a successful first edition that was held in a hybrid format, this year's edition will follow suit allowing participants to be present at the Royal Tulip Al Rasheed Baghdad Hotel, the conference venue, or to attend virtually. 

In the 5:00 to 6:00pm (Baghdad time) slot, Aseel Abdulhameed, the National Coordinator for the WaPOR project in Iraq, will be part of a session dedicated to the FAO and will present on the use of remote-sensing derived WaPOR data for monitoring water productivity as well as on second phase of WaPOR project at large.
