WaPOR database and applications presented during the Nile Basin Development Forum in Kamapala, Uganda

The WaPOR team participated to the the Nile Basin Development Forum, a high-level regional event convened every three years by the Nile Basin Initiative (NBI) in collaboration with its Member States and in partnership with development partners. 

Ms Livia Peiser, Technical Officer for the WaPOR Project, presented the database and its applications for monitoring implications of climate change in the Basin during session CS4 on 20 September. 

Mr Gareeb Mohamed, National Coordinator of the WaPOR Project in Sudan, will present “Demonstration of WaPOR use in Gezira, Sudan” during session WR2, on 28 September at 9:00 a.m. EAT.

The Nile Basin Development Forum is a science-policy-practice dialogue that provides an opportunity for constructive reflection on contemporary information, knowledge and best practices as well as building partnerships among professionals, in transboundary water resources management and development. This edition is convened in Kamapala, Uganda, and online from September 18 to October 18, 2023.
