Information on aquatic plants focuses on their use and management.

The section on wetland wildlife resources of Nigerian lakes and rivers deals with their distribution, status, species diversity and economic importance and covers aquatic birds, reptiles, mammals and amphibians of fresh waters. Proposals are advanced for their development, rational exploitation, management, conservation and propagation, including culture.
