Compendium of Soil and Water Rehabilitation Good Practice

16/05/2022

The compendium is one of the outputs of Water and Soil Rehabilitation for Improved Climate Resilience in Golestan, Khouzestan and Lorestan Provinces Project that was funded and implemented by FAO in 2021. The compendium includes good practices in climate-resilient soil and water management and disaster risk management techniques. Experts and farmers can design new interventions based on the ideas and methodologies described. Good Practices are the most suited practices to ensure climate resilient irrigation, agriculture methods and soil and water resource management. The good practices were identified from similar agro-ecological conditions and fields in Iran to introduce practical ideas to provincial and local authorities to be employed for soil and water management improvement. The recommendations and possible solutions presented are practical solutions to combat the depletion of natural resources and reduce pressure on natural resources.
