FAO in Lao People's Democratic Republic

The FAO Representation in Lao People's Democratic Republic was established in Vientiane in 1980, and the Organization has maintained its main office at the current location since then. FAO continues to work with a wide range of governmental agencies, including especially the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, with civil society, and with the private sector. It's work in Lao PDR has been supported by and delivered in collaboration with a wide variety of regional and international development partners. The Country Programming Framework (CPF) 2022-2026 reflects important priorities in national development policies and programs under the 9th National Socio-Economic Development Plan Financing Strategy (2023-2025).
