Quadripartite One Health Legislative Assessment Tool for Antimicrobial Resistance
In a significant stride towards global health security, the Quadripartite Global Legal Project, funded by the AMR Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF), is set to unveil the Quadripartite One Health Legislative Assessment Tool for Antimicrobial Resistance (OHLAT) in a virtual launch event scheduled on 28 November 2023.
Developed and piloted under the aegis of the Quadripartite alliance comprising the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), World Health Organization (WHO), and the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), the OHLAT is designed to assist countries in identifying and assessing legal areas crucial for combatting antimicrobial resistance (AMR) within a comprehensive One Health framework.
Structured into seven chapters, the OHLAT meticulously covers AMR institutional coordination, human health, food safety, animal health, pesticide management, plant health, and the environment. Each chapter provides insights into international reference standards and guidance pertinent to the subject matter, coupled with assessment questions aimed at guiding nations in fortifying their legal frameworks against the threat of AMR.
The launch event will feature two sessions to accommodate diverse linguistic preferences. Register now!
